I have had experience with C++, C#, HTML5/Javascript and Actionscript 3.0. Most of my experience with C# has come through using Unity 2D which I am using to make a 2D platformer at the moment.
My main interest in making a game is scripting which I mostly do in C# on Unity, although I also enjoy the design aspect, drawing up art and adding sound (using FMOD on Unity).
I am a Windows Games Ambassador which involves promoting Microsoft technologies and game development through different media. We are also expected to make 4 games a year for Windows 8 or Windows Phone. The role involves me representing Microsoft at certain events such as ‘Develop’ in Brighton or at porting events to help people port their games to the Windows Store. Most recently I have given talks to five different Universities over three days in Scotland to promote the ‘Imagine Cup’ and other Microsoft related topics.
I am the Vice President of the Computer Games Society. This involves bringing in industry specialists to do talks, organising game jams and other events. I have also been my courses student representative for that past 3 years.
I have two games on the Windows Store which are called 'Luna' and 'Flame Boy'. Luna has also been published on the gaming website 'Newgrounds' where it was a featured game for 4 days and has just under 10,000 views and 294 ratings.
'The Space Ace' is a game that I made over the summer in 2013 and I got it published on clay.io. I won the UNversity challenge with it where the prize was a Kinect Development Kit.
'Flame Boy' is a game that I made at the UWS Game Jam 2014 which I released onto Windows Store. An article was written about it on XBL Gamehub. Click the button below to have a look.
